Right now, that would enable me to:
- cook food for 12 for the weekend (in-laws are visiting)
- tidy the house (in-laws are visiting...)
- finish a mountain of ironing
- put away the Asda delivery that came yesterday
- file all the paperwork on floor of study
- organise my daughter's birthday party
- wrap all the birthday presents (in-laws are visiting ... there are 4 birthdays this month)
- bake birthday cake(s)
- plan activities for half-term
- design outfit for daughter's drama class tomorrow ("a big turnip")
- sit down for an hour with a good book and a cup of tea...
I think I'll start at the bottom of the list and work up... !

I know the feeling but unfortunately you just have to get on with it.
I like your thinking. I'd be starting with that chore as well. x
Quick Saturday morning update ...need to leave in an hour for daughter's drama (outfit to be completed) and then pick up in-laws at airport ... and still a lot of tidying ... and everyone else is still asleep!! Disgraceful!
Thank you, ladies, for your comments.
What you need is a wife!
If I stopped time it would never end up starting again with the amount of stuff I have to do!
Whew! In-laws have gone! All is back to normal (husband working, kids watch TV, I'm doing the washing/ironing/dishes/tidying etc.)
Yes, WM, I like your thinking. And Clareybabble, that would probably also be true. Imagine the shock of starting time again and everyone finding me - old, grey and wrinkly - whilst they are still in the prime of life! (Then again, would they notice the difference...?!)
definitel start at the bottom lol
