Sense and sensibility

Yesterday my son came home from school with a headteacher's award.

"Wow!" I said. "What did you get that for?"

"Being sensible," he replied.

Sensible?!

Is this the same child I know? Does he have a character transformation on walking through the school gates?

(Extraordinarily proud mother whichever way you look at it!)

My son has a split personality - when he walks through the doors at school the 'nice, sensible' child comes out, and then at the end of the day, on exiting the school the 'not so nice, not so sensible' child returns. At least we are lucky in that it is that way around. Imagaine if we had the nice, sensible child and the school got the not so nice, not so sensible child!

Yay!! Well done him!

Amazing how different children's personalities can be at school. My argumentative, feisty five year old turns into sensitive and helpful when she walks through the classroom door!

Potty days - I'm with you all the way. Somehow it is less embarrassing if your child is well-behaved with others, even if a nightmare with you!

WM - the power of teachers! They are the most fearful people in the universe. Even now I am scared waiting to see the headmaster!
